Thank you to everyone who came out to this year’s event and to the hundreds of volunteers and performers who helped make it a special day for everyone. On behalf of MCACC and all the participating rescues, we thank you for your support. First count is almost 30 pets adopted at the event!
NEW this year, there will be a BAG DROP at the Pam Johnson State Farm booth. Leave your extra clothes but please no valuables. We will still do a Key Drop at the Information Booth.
We are excited to announce that this year’s 12k’s of Christmas will be even more runner-friendly, easing some of the congestion for the 12 runners by sending the 6k runners out on a slightly different course. Everyone will still start and end at the same place, with lots of water and carolers on both routes.
Save the Date – Saturday December 10, 2016 – now confirmed for the 12k’s of Christmas in Gilbert! Register today to take advantage of the early bird discount. No charge to mail in your registration and you will save the online registration fee.

Congratulations to Randy Rotondo this year’s winner of the 12k’s of Christmas Spirit of Giving Award presented by Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport. Randy is a dedicated volunteer at Boxer Luv Rescue. (www.boxerluv.org)
The Spirit of Giving award recognizes volunteers in the community who give their time and resources to help animals. This year’s winner, Randy Rotonto, is dedicated to helping the Boxer breed. As the Intake Coordinator for Boxer Luv Rescue, Randy is on call 24 x 7, working closely with the County Animal Shelters and local police agencies; transporting dogs both for intake and vetting. Randy also takes in and personally fosters dogs with major medical issues, and regularly visits the kennels to work with dogs there.
In his “spare” time, Randy administers the Boxer Luv website and the Facebook page. Fellow volunteers look up to him and consider him a role model. In nominating Randy for this award, they stated that: “Randy is a kind and gentle person, devoted and compassionate. He carries a lot on his shoulders every day, but always has a positive and upbeat attitude.”
Randy truly makes a difference!
We are proud to recognize Randy as the 2015 “Spirit of Giving” award recipient.
