Spirit of Giving Award
Winners of the 2011 "Spirit of Giving" Award from Gateway Airport were Jim & Deana Kilgos, founders of Amazing Aussies Lethal White Rescue. The Spirit of Giving recognizes volunteers in the community who give their time and resources to help animals. As recipients of this award, Jim and Deana exemplify the spirit of giving, acting as the guardian angels for lethal white Australian Shepherds.
The 2010 winner was Ms. Terri Wood, the president of the Arizona Pug Adoption & Rescue Network (APARN).
Nominations are being accepted for the 2012 award. Just email 12ksantapaws@gmail.com and explain in 100 words or less how your nominee demonstrates the Spirit of Giving.

2011 12k's of Christmas a huge success!
Over 65 dogs and cats found forever homes during the 3rd annual 12k's of Christmas event in Dec 2011. Also, over $10,000 was raised for Maricopa County Animal Care and Control and PACC 911. Thanks to all of the runners, volunteers, caroling groups and rescue groups in making this year's event a huge success. God Bless.

2011 Check Presentation
12k's of Christmas presented a check for $4,500 to Maricopa County Animal Care & Control at their regular Board of Supervisors meeting on February 7, 2012.This donation supports MCACC's Spay & Neuter program. 12k's of Christmas is proud to make this donation, on top of our Christmas in July promotion that helped find homes for over 1,500 dogs and cats.
PACC911 also received a check for $4,500. 12k's of Christmas also made smaller donations to a number of other shelters and rescue groups, totalling over $10,000 of donations in 2011 to help our furry friends.
