It starts and ends on the grass at Gilbert’s Freestone District Park with an out and back route through the park behind the ball fields, turning around at the Powerline Trail. Bring the family or your co-workers and register a team in the 1.2k Santa “Sled” run/walk. You don’t need a sled, but we invite you to have some fun with this! Enter a team with a theme. Decorate the stroller, bring a wagon, dress up the pets. There will be gifts for the team and individuals with the most Christmas Spirit, Santa Paws’ Favorite Pet and the Best Decorated Entry.

Pre-register on-line or using the mail in form. Registration is available on-site and at advance packet pickup.

Packet Pickup

Race numbers and registration packets will be available at early packet pickup on Thursday December 6 from 3 pm to 7 pm – Location San Tan Ford, 1429 E. Motorplex Loop, Gilbert 85297. (Yes, you can pick up packets for other runners. Just bring all their information.) Packet pickup will be available the morning of the event between 7 and 9:30 am.

The 1.2k will begin at 9:12, early enough that you can participate with the kids then run in the 6k or 12k event as well. (Note: if you are not registered for the 6k or 12k, and you want to run with a child in the 1.2k, you will need to sign yourself up as well.)

Pets are welcome, as are wagons, strollers, and other decorated entries. We just ask that you let those fast kids move to the front of the starting line.

Judges awards for the Most Christmas Spirit (Family and Youth), Santa Paw’s Favorite Pet and Best Decorated Entry. If you have a costume, go see the judges (presented by Printing Specialists) between 8:00 and 10. The prize winners will be able to pick up their gifts from under the Christmas tree after 10 am. A list of winners will be posted.

Our photographer will be on hand to take photos – Action Media. Be sure to smile at the camera!

All participant entries are non-transferable and there are no refunds. You may not transfer or sell your race number to another person. We do not offer a deferral to next year event or another event in the series. There are no exceptions to this policy unless approved by race organizer.
